Game Arcade: The games team will be changing one of the Qantm classrooms into an arcade for the day! We'll have students' games running on PCs and consoles, talking about the games industry and gaming technology. Our lecturers will be here all day to answer any questions you may have about the course.
Web Showcase and talk: The Web department will be showcasing students work in an open “try it yourself” environment (showcasing work produced in different levels of the course) as well as talks about the course and curriculum held by our web development staff.
In the 3D department we will go over a real world project of a music video, showing the 3D elements involved from start to finish using Maya. We will talk about modeling a robot, and constructing a simple rig in order to animate it. The smoke generated with particles will also be looked at, as well as destroying a sky scraper in 3D. The Head lecturer will also have Q&A sessions, throughout the day, about the course structure and curriculum.
