On Monday 25th January Qantm invited Su Ayunwi Banda in for a Guest Lecture on Multimedia Freelancing. Since graduating from Qantm's Web Design & Development programme Su has been successfully juggling full-time freelance work in addition to working as a Developer at a leading multimedia consultancy company.

Su shared his wealth of knowledge to the attendees which included the following topics:

• Ways of finding work
• The importance of defining standards and packages for your services
• Things to consider before accepting a task
• Common pitfalls you can fall into with clients, making promises and freelancers trying to win a contract
• Time saving techniques (developing a simple framework/CMS)
